An MBE for Trust Chairman, Val Bott
We are delighted to report that our Chairman, Val Bott received an MBE for services to conservation and the heritage in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
Val was surprised but thrilled to receive the honour. “I have greatly enjoyed bringing William Hogarth to a wider audience and it is wonderful to be honoured this year, the 250th anniversary of his death. Co-ordinating the refurbishment of Hogarth’s House, supported by my great colleagues in the William Hogarth Trust, was a real pleasure and the huge increase in visitor numbers, particularly local residents, suggests we got it right!”
